Psychologist
Dominique is a psychologist and a member of the Order of Psychologists of Quebec.
During her doctoral studies at the University of Quebec in Montreal, she wrote a thesis on predictors of intelligence in children with autism. Dominique is completing a postdoctoral research internship in the Netherlands on the experience of intolerable suffering in the context of medical assistance in dying.
Dominique completed her training in clinical psychology at the Customized Psychological Intervention Center for Psychosis (CI3P) at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute. She worked with an adult clientele presenting various issues including psychotic disorders, anxiety and mood disorders, burnout, identity issues and bereavement.
In her clinical practice, Dominique adopts a humanistic-existential therapeutic approach. Through psychotherapy, she helps her clients better understand and make sense of their experiences and their life choices, drawing on philosophy and art, among other things. Her clinical interests concern issues related to the end of life, bereavement, existential suffering, and the search for meaning.
Dominique offers virtual follow-ups in French and English.
