Laura is currently a doctoral student registered with the Order of Psychologists of Quebec, under the supervision of Dr. Catherine Otis, psychologist.
She is completing her doctoral studies at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM). She also completed a specialization in forensic psychology at the University of Quebec in Trois- Rivières. She completed her clinical training at the Center for Psychological Services at UQAM. She then received extensive training at the Psychotic Disorders Program at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute, where she had the opportunity of working with clients presenting with psychotic disorders and comorbid difficulties such as anxiety, mood and personality disorders.
She works with adults presenting with various difficulties, such as anxiety, mood, self-esteem, emotion regulation, and interpersonal difficulties. Her treatment approach is primarily grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy, drawing from elements of schema therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and mindfulness. Her approach is authentic, non-judgmental, and her interventions are tailored to the needs of her clients. She aims at fostering a strong therapeutic alliance within a warm, open and accepting environment.
Laura offers psychotherapy services in English and in French, in person and virtually.
